About Us

Our work is guided by the belief that all people, regardless of perceived ability, deserve the freedom to make the basic choices that define their lives. Individuals live in their own home and we tailor our direct support around their unique needs, assisting each person to live in the community of their choice. Our person-centered planning approach increases dignity and personal agency, recognizes everyone’s human potential, and affects profound change in how each individual leads his or her life.

While our work stems from partnerships between people who receive support from CVI and the communities in which those individuals live, these connections lead to extensive community impact, rippling beyond basic community support. Ours is a self-determined approach to giving an individual the support they need to live the life they choose.
